Review: Troxel Liberty Riding Helmet

I purchased this helmet over the summer from SmartPak Equine for $56.95.
The Troxel Liberty Riding helmet comes in various solid colors. I purchased the "Duratec" color in the Medium size. The Duratec color is a dark turquoise/teal shade.

My previous Troxel helmets (Legacy model and the Rebel) were both size medium and fit me very well. This one has the dial system and fits well. I even have enough space to wear a slim beanie with it in the winter (on a larger dial setting than I normally wear it).

I wear this helmet 3-4 times each week and it is holding up well. The color is still vibrant. I keep my helmet in a hat box when I'm not wearing it and it looks almost new with minimal scratches, seems to be quite durable. I chose this particular style of helmet due to the fact that I'd be wearing it to lessons. It's appropriate for schooling shows and not as flashy as the Troxel Rebel, while still being available in fun colors.

I found the price to be about average when it comes to equestrian helmets. There are cheaper helmets and much more expensive ones on the market. It is ASTM/SEI F1163-15 certified. Please note, this certification is most appropriate for protecting from impact. Crush injuries can still occur. It is also considered one of Troxel's low profile helmets and features mesh-covered vents.

I measured my head as recommended on their site and came out to be 22 inches. As per their size chart, I should fall on the smaller end of the medium size spectrum. Troxel's dial helmets fit me with very well I've learned.
