Tack Review: Equine Cotto Half Pad

I purchased this half pad to add some extra cushion between the saddle and the horse. Apache was still in the process of gaining weight, but I wanted her to get accustomed to wearing a saddle.

I paid $16 for this item, it's a fairly simple pad.

Here you can see the half pad being used underneath my Collegiate. I use a full size pad underneath.

 

 

This half pad is not as thick as I would like, but it gets the job done. I would not ride with only this half pad, I'm not sure it provides adequate coverage. I do like that it has the Velcro strap to attach to the saddle, to hold it in place.
