Review: Troxel Helmet, The Rebel
I purchased this helmet somewhat recently from SmartPak Equine for $54.95.
The Troxel Rebel helmet comes in 4 different color patterns. I purchased the "Arrow" design in the Medium size. My previous Troxel helmet (Legacy model) was a size medium and fit me very well. This one fits a tad snugger but it still feels comfortable and secure. There is no dial adjustment on the rebel helmets. There are some adjustable flaps on the side and back.
The listing describes the helmet as: The Troxel® Rebel Helmet makes a bold style statement—ideal for the fashion-conscious rider both in and out of the arena! With its edgy, rocker-style graphics, the Rebel offers exceptional performance and comfort, plus high-end features that make it perfect for the rebellious rider. The SureFit™ Pro system incorporates EverFlex™ straps that self adjust to the size and shape of the rider’s head. With ultra-plush padding, SureFit Pro provides an unmatched level of comfort and stability. Troxel’s Matte Duratec™ process protects the outer shell of the helmet from day-to-day dirt and scratches. Flip-Fold™ removable/washable liner in colorful animal print patterns. Mesh-covered vents. ASTM F1163-15/SEI Certified.
Be aware of Troxel's sizing. I measured my head as recommended on their site and came out to be 22 inches. As per their size chart, I should fall on the smaller end of the medium size spectrum, but I feel that if my head were any bigger, this helmet would be uncomfortably snug.

Troxel Rebel Helmet, Arrow Design.
The helmet is a dark chocolate brown with orange/light blue arrows.
This helmet is sleeker than my Legacy was, fits better, and I really enjoy the design on it. I found the price to be about average when it comes to equestrian helmets. There are cheaper helmets and much more expensive ones on the market. It is ASTM/SEI F1163-15 certified. Please note, this certification is most appropriate for protecting from impact. Crush injuries can still occur. It is also considered on of their low profile helmets and features mesh-covered vents.
